August 25, 2010
Nearly 50 Join in the Celebration Showing a Bright Spot in Local Housing Market Solon, Ohio … Senior residents in the Solon area are now closer to realizing their goal of developing new housing built with their specific needs in mind. The local builder and developer, Gross Builders, celebrated the Grand Opening of the much-anticipated Carrington Court community on August 25, 2010. Mayor Susan Drucker and members of City Council were among those who joined Gross Builders in celebration of this progress. “The attendance of this groundbreaking reflects the popularity of the City of Solon,” said Kristopher Kutz, Marketing Director at Gross Builders. “The turnout shows us that demand is certainly there and the location can’t be beat.” Nearly 50 people attended the Grand Opening for Carrington Court. Gross Builders was selected to construct a new residential community aimed at local seniors that is designed to fit their housing needs. The Carrington Court site is centrally located off Aurora Road near the well-appointed Solon Community Center, home to the renowned Senior Services Department. Carrington Court features limited maintenance homes and apartment homes. Within months of breaking ground, ten percent of the homes have been sold and nearly thirty percent of the apartments leased and Gross Builders is continuing building. Gross designed the homes and apartments to feature the same qualities that won them the silver award from the National Association of Homebuilders for their work on a similar project, Arbor Glen, in Twinsburg, Ohio.
